Tonya Kay's brutally elegant work is coveted for the moxie, physicality and depth of the characters she creates.

You can see her lead film roles in A Better Place (Cannes Market), Dark Space and Earthtastrophe (SyFy), Saving My Baby and The Other Wife (Lifetime), and Puppet Master: Axis Termination (El Rey).

On TV you’ve seen her acting on The Fosters (Freeform), Jane The Virgin (TBS), Criminal Minds (ABC) and Rosewood (FOX) and has held Series Regular and Recurring roles on Comedy Central, MTV Networks, NBC and FOX.

The only female nominee, Tonya Kay won Favorite Villain from the Horror Society for her lead role in theatrically-released Bastard (FOX Horror), reviewed by press as doing "batshit crazy really well” and was bestowed the honor of Best Supporting Actress from LA Actor Awards for her role in 1920s period-film, D-Railed. Tonya Kay draws upon Meisner, Anthony Meindl and Second City training to shape her fearless instincts.

Tonya Kay’s sass and smarts side strongly with celebs as co-host with Penn Jillette on Street Cred (Travel Channel) and sketch comedy partner with Neil Patrick Harris and Conan O’Brien. Nothing makes Tonya Kay happier than when her ideals and art combine and it has been her distinct pleasure to work with fellow vegans Russell Brand, Ellen Degeneres, Emily Deschanel and Rob Zombie.

Fierce and sensual, this fit, female athlete performs her own stunts, has stunt doubled PINK, stunt coordinated for Corey Feldman and fought Zoe Bell in the film Raze (Paramount).

Her dynamite dance and specialty career has given her the spotlight touring in STOMP, sold out Madison Square Garden twice, landed her Recurring roles on Glee (FOX) and The Voice (NBC) and dazzled audiences in The Muppets Movie and Lone Ranger blockbusters.

Tonya Kay’s favorite film is Faster Pussy Cat Kill! Kill! and when she’s not on-camera, she’s under the hood of her own classic hot rod.

Ridiculously Difficult Single-Take Filming By Drone

Tech journal, SolidSmack, extensively covers Tonya Kay's Ridiculously Difficult Single-Take Filming By Drone, interviewing:

“Why have I never seen an all-drone, single-take narrative film?

TONYA KAY:  Because it’s difficult af! Had we had a substantially larger budget, we might have taken three days on location to rehearse and capture the five minutes of sunset you’ll see in the film, but that’s nearly all I would have changed. It was suggested that we could have used a ($300,000/day) crane to do this, but I disagree: a crane could not have traveled over the rooftop before taking a 180-degree rotation like we did. A drone was the only equipment that could have accomplished this camera movement and sometimes it takes limited resources to recognize that.

TONYA KAY:  What you see from the drone front is the movie. What was happening behind those walls was a whirlwind of rambunctious nudity and focused determination."

In Authority Magazine's Rising Star Tonya Kay interview, Tonya Kay is quoted about her filmmaking beginnings, "I've been making movies since I was a little kid! I used my parents’ VHS camera and lacking the digital intricacies we have today, actually pushed start and stop manually to film a stop-motion claymation short.
