I am on top of the world in NYC. I took a walk through Times Square tonite - it's become a theatre of the human. One does not have to see a Broadway show to see a production. One does not even have to climb into the 2nd world living underground, performing in the subway. One now can sit (in bleachers) on a closed off Broadway / 7th Ave intersection - in the middle of the street people have lawn chairs. It's the ultimate sight seeing and the most enrapturing, most hideous, most stunning and meaningful display of life, finally taking itself seriously enough to bring viewing chairs and pull up a seat - life is mesmerizing. It affords better bands on the cement wedge at the base of the TKTS kiosk and it brings out the good looking comedians hawking to get you into their Broadway show at either of two showings that nite. And it is beautiful. It is so so hideously beautiful.
I can really feel how I am radiating California's sunshine up into the sky when it's generally accepted that one look down and avoid eye contact. What happens when you still have west coast sunshine evaporating off your skin in NYC? People flirt with you. And men try to say the right thing. And people watch you like they would pull up a lawn chair. Yes, they do.

You write beautifully.
The next time I ride the subway, I'm going to pay attention to those muscles in my thighs. :)
The world is amazing.
