Thunder Storm Bedtime Story
Happydale, MI
June 11, 2007
I'm a little girl with no shoes on her feet. Hugging trees in the rain to hear their heart beat.

Five months in LA because I found something to love. Five months in LA because I found someone to love. Five months in LA is a grand commitment for me, proving my devotion to love, love .... love like a fire. Devouring brittle landscapes to fuel more me, to birth a new me. Insatiable and driven ... my love like a fire.

Can leave a soul scorched without the rains.

Just one Michigan nite, washes five months beneath bare feet. Hugging trees in the rain to hear their heart beat.

Hi Tonya. I just wanted to let you know that I find this particular post especially touching. I find inspiration in much of your writing, but took this one as an opportunity to say Hello to you again. You and I met at the Blue Heron festival in NY a couple years ago. Me, blonde dreads also, with all the glass art, traded. I found you interesting enough to check out your sight and have been pretty much reading your journal entries since. Thank you for adding a little extra to my life. I live way out in the country, haven't been getting out into the "big world" as much lately. I can tell that you're an especially cool person, quite gifted, a true thinker. I appreciate you......been putting off saying HI again for two years, but hey, time flies. I might drop another line one of these times or maybe we'll cross paths again "out and about" one of these days. Thank you for your insights....many blessings, Amy
